A38: Traffic ‘returns to normal’ after reports of an accident

  • Travel Somerset, the county council’s roads and traffic service, reported “queuing traffic” that was “heavier than normal” on the A38 near Bradford-on-Tone.
  • An AA traffic alert said: “There were reports of an accident that could not be confirmed. Sensors show traffic is still struggling to get through the area.”
  • Traffic was seen queuing on the road towards the Chelston Roundabout in Wellington at around 8:40am.
  • The road remained open throughout the morning and traffic has since “returned to normal”.
