The Big Sleep Out will be take place on the evening of Friday 9th June through to the following morning. The idea is for participants to get sponsored to sleep outside for just one night to help towards the accommodation and support services Arc provides for the homeless in Somerset.

This year we are offering an in-person OR at home event so you can either join us in our car park at The Crescent, Taunton to take part with other participants or choose the ‘virtual’ option and sleep out in your own garden instead.

Whilst our event will show some of the harsh realities of rough sleeping, we do not intend to replicate it. The event is a safe, fun and eye-opening experience suitable for everyone.

At our ‘in person’ event, you can enjoy live music from local artists, delicious food and hot drinks throughout the evening, before we settle down in our sleeping bags. For our at home participants, we provide a live stream of entertainment during the evening with the opportunity to chat with other participants, Arc staff and clients.

The event is open to everyone, if your health allows you to safely sleep outside for the night. We have had people of all ages take part in our past sleep outs, from 4 to 84 years old! We are very much a family friendly event.
