Williams and Cleal Furniture Open Woods & Workshops

Williams & Cleal Furniture are opening their renowned workshops to the public as part of Open Woods & Workshops on the 20^th, 21^st, 27^th and 28^th of June 2025.

This series of open days offers the opportunity to tour their workshops, where guests will witness the artistry and precision that go into every piece their students design and make, firsthand. Their expert makers will lead captivating wood-related demonstrations, showcasing techniques such as steam bending.

This event is designed in collaboration with Woodland Heritage, who are running guided walks of James Wood on the same days.

The initiative sees hosts in the UK open their woodlands and workshops to the public to share wood culture. It’s a unique opportunity to explore rarely accessible places and learn about the skills involved in working with wood and growing trees.
