Scores of athletes complete Taunton Triathlon in glorious weather

The event started with a 250-metre swim in the pool at Taunton School’s sports club.

It was followed by a 21k cycle ride along a reasonably flat route taking in a number of villages surrounding the county town.

The challenge was finished with a 5.7k run based around the town centre and ending up in front of the main school building.

First person home was Jack Batten, the only participant to record a time of under one hour.
