We are proud of our magnificent church, but we are primarily a gathering of Christians, united in our worship of Jesus Christ and dedicated to serve our community in His name.  

We serve Taunton as part of a Joint Benefice with St John the Evangelist.  Revd Rod Corke is the Incumbent of the Benefice and Revd Jane Eastell is the Associate Vicar with Responsibility for St John’s. We open the doors of St Mary Magdalene as often as we can.  As well as coming to a church service, why not come for a cup of tea and a chat in our coffee shop, browse the bookshop or sit quietly and pray in St Andrew’s Chapel.

You can also come to learn about the Christian faith or to find a place to worship. We can also provide a location for Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals. For whatever reason you have come, we hope you find us a friendly, welcoming community. If you would like to join us, then we would be delighted to have your company.  

Every person who comes in is important to us.  There are no strangers at St Mary Magdalene’s, only fellow pilgrims we have yet to meet.
