Housebuilder launches £500 community chest in Cheddar

The company, currently creating new homes at Oak Park development, is calling for people to nominate local groups, individuals, clubs, or any deserving initiative for a potential cash injection.

Taylor Wimpey is keen to hear from residents who know prospects that could benefit, whether it be for new equipment, boosting personal fundraising efforts or anything in between.

Residents are asked to email their nominations, explaining why they’ve selected their nominee, to cheddarcommunitychest@taylorwimpey-pr.co.uk.

Rob Curry, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Bristol, said: “Supporting communities surrounding our developments is really important to us.

“There are so many organisations that carry out vital work, and we are thrilled to be able to support as many groups and organisations as we can across the country.

“We would encourage anyone who is a part of, or knows of a charity, group or organisation in Cheddar or further afield to get in touch and nominate them for a chance to win our £500 prize.”

Taylor Wimpey will be accepting nominations until August 31, 2024.

The firm will review all entries and decide on one group, organisation or individual that will receive the £500 donation.

The quota is one nomination per person and those nominating who are under 18 will need permission.

The award will be given as a BACS transfer.

Further terms and conditions for participating are available and the contest is open to all UK residents.
